Letter from the President

Dear Northern Nevada Claims Association Members,
	What a year 2011 is proving to be!  Your board and you, the members, are responsible for the resurgence of our great association. In April, Fire Investigator Jason O’Neal presented some valuable information on Fire Investigations.  In May, we were “Honor”-ed with Judge Dorothy Nash Holmes’ lively discussion on New Developments in the Reno Municipal Court.

Thanks to our May luncheon sponsor Farr West Engineering. 

Our guest speaker in June was Senior Engineer Technician Alan Barney of the City of Reno Capital Projects Department who presented on investigating of slips and falls.

With elections of new officers and board members in August, please make sure you express your interest to one of the current officers or board members.  We thank you in advance for your interest and participation!

With summer just around the corner (which seems unbelievable), just a reminder that there is no Lunch and Learn in July.  If you have not already done so, mark your calendars now to make sure you attend all of our upcoming events:

July 21 – Summer Membership BBQ, Rancho San Rafael (Members FREE, Non-members $10)
August 4 – Lunch and Learn, announcement of officers and board
August 5 – Golf Tournament and Dinner at Sierra Sage Golf Course ($60 for golf and dinner, $20 for dinner only)
September 15 – Bowling Tournament
October 6 – Lunch and Learn
November 3 – Lunch and Learn
December 2 – Christmas Party, Poolside Terrace, John Ascuaga’s Nugget

Again, without the support of our members and event attendees, the board would not be able to bring you these educational and fun-filled events.  Here’s to continued growth and events in the coming year!
