Letter from the President

Dear Northern Nevada Association Members,
	As you are aware, we have our board elections at our next meeting, August 5th and so, this will be my last newsletter to the membership. Thank you to all for your support and to the board for their time and effort. We are in the midst of our annual membership renewal and drive. If you have not renewed or are considering joining, now is the time to act.

Our second annual membership picnic was a great success with the most perfect location and weather. Thanks to Jon Aronson of PW Stephens for lighting the bonfire; Brian Foote of Belfor (who is also our secretary) for his shopping expertise, as well as board members Bryant Bourgeau of CIG and Laura Brower of Nevada Insurance adjusters. My son Chris had the day off, so I grabbed him and enlisted him at the BBQ! We were able to feed all in a timely fashion, so nobody was late in returning to work. Thanks also to Belfor for providing the soft drinks and water.

We have a great organization and continue to be successful in our Lunch and Learn program. The comments that I hear are positive and the sky is the limit as to what is in the future. Please check the web site for our past speakers and watch your email for the future lunch and learn presenters.

As we are past the mid point of the year, we have the NNCA golf tournament at 1:00 on August 13th at Sierra Sage Golf Course. We will have our third annual Bowling Tournament at 3:00 on September 16th at High Sierra Lanes. The theme for the Bowling tournament will be Hawaiian and there will be a contest for the ugliest or most outlandish shirt. We hope you will consider participating in both of these events. We will split the Bowling tournament proceeds with a charity.

Enjoy the summer, drink lots of water and use your sunscreen!!!!
